At Near North Animal Hospital we often have pets for adoption. Sometimes they are pets who’s owner had to give them up but often it is kittens or adult cats that were feral or stray. Feral means that the kitten was born wild. If it is not captured at a young age it is often too late to tame it into being a good pet. Even if caught when young enough to tame it takes time, patience and the right person(s) to do that. We have people who work with the feral cats daily to turn them into adoptable pets and won’t release them until they are ready to be a good pet.

If you are interested in adopting one or more of the pets we have please call us. We can arrange a time for you to visit and spend some time with the pet(s) and get to know each other. We can arrange for you to visit with the animal multiple times so that you can bond with it and be sure of your decision. If you do adopt one of our pets and it doesn’t work out at home we will accept them back. The adoption fee covers all of the vaccinations, required tests and the spay/neuter surgery.

Currently the adoption fee is $125.
